We offer super opportunities for hospitality graduates and our 10 month Graduate Training Scheme provides sound experience in all parts of the business. During this time salary is at the rate of £22,500 pa and upon successful completion of the scheme there will be an offer of a management position within one of our client sites.

The core Lexington Graduate Training Scheme involves placements in various functions across many of our client sites. This gives you the opportunity to learn how each department works, with gradual immersion into supervisory and management roles. To complement this ‘hands on’ learning there will be occasional off site courses with specialist trainers.

Graduates are mentored with regular reviews and will work closely with General Managers on site and departmental teams. On occasions there will be special projects and new restaurant openings which arise that will consolidate your knowledge and provide you with fresh experiences. We recognize the importance of Graduates to the future of our business and are happy to make this investment.

A programme that delivers success

The Lexington Graduate Scheme is designed for hospitality graduates who have a real passion and flair for food and service and wish to join our dynamic management team. The structured programme offers candidates a well-defined development plan to optimize their potential and reach their career goals as their talent and determination allow.

On successful completion of the scheme Graduates will usually take on an Assistant Manager role, working with teams to delight our customers and clients and to deliver results successfully. After a year or so gaining real management experience, progress would generally be to Manage your own site – or as deputy on a very large site. Then after 18 months there will be opportunities to become General Manager of a large site and subsequently onto multisite management. As long as you have the motivation, capability and commitment it takes to succeed, you will be recognized and progress will be swift.

A typical manager’s role includes:

• Taking ownership and proactively managing the food service in restaurant / deli / coffee bars/hospitality suite
• Recruiting selecting inducting reviewing & appraising team members
• Project management of special events.
• Being responsible for compilation and constantly monitoring budgets
• Efficient liaison with clients
• Working with the Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchens, appealing menus and production of great food.
• Excellent communication with staff, boss and customers.
• Producing reports as appropriate.
• Ensuring all Lexington policies are adhered to and that all legal requirements are met
